On 19 August 2025, Dot Initiative, Students’ Council for Ideal Campus (SCIC), and TCL Global jointly organized a seminar titled “Higher Studies Abroad: Opportunities & Guidance” at the TSC Auditorium, University of Dhaka. The seminar was held from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM, alongside a day-long one-to-one consultation service with TCL Global experts from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM at the TSC corridor.
The seminar formally started with an opening speech by K M Emrul Hasan, President of Dot Initiative & SCIC. In his remarks, he welcomed participants and guests, highlighting that Bangladesh enjoys a demographic advantage compared to many other nations. However, with youth unemployment at nearly 10%, the country has yet to harness this potential. He stressed that this is where Dot Initiative’s mandate lies—empowering the youth with opportunities, skills, and guidance.
The first keynote session was conducted by Mahade Hasan, Assistant Professor, University of Dhaka, who shared practical guidance on pursuing higher studies with a particular focus on preparing for scholarships.
This was followed by Osama Bin Noor, Co-founder of Youth Opportunities, who spoke about discovering opportunities both locally and globally, while also sharing lessons from his own journey of empowering millions of youth through digital platforms.
University representatives from the USA and UK then provided tailored guidance on study options abroad, outlining scholarship opportunities and pathways available for Bangladeshi students.
The program also featured guidance from TCL Global experts, who explained their consultation services and the support they provide to students planning for higher education overseas.
Later in the program, Ferdous Aiam (Raiyan), General Secretary of Dot Initiative, delivered a speech in which he outlined Dot Initiative’s current activities and unveiled its ambitious future plans, which include:
✅Establishing Youth Clubs for campus-level engagement
✅Driving Research & Advocacy to shape youth policy
✅Launching Skill-Based EdTech initiatives for digital learning
✅Introducing a Youth Parliament to build leadership and civic responsibility
✅Starting a Youth Journal to amplify young voices and ideas
The event concluded with a closing speech from the CEO of TCL Global, who praised the collaborative effort and encouraged students to pursue their academic ambitions with confidence and preparation.
The day-long event successfully combined inspiration, actionable guidance, and personalized consultation, reinforcing Dot Initiative’s mission to empower the youth of Bangladesh and help them unlock global opportunities.
ঢাকা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের টিএসসি অডিটরিয়ামে আজ ১৯ আগস্ট ২০২৫ তারিখে অনুষ্ঠিত হয়েছে “বিদেশে উচ্চশিক্ষা: সুযোগ ও দিকনির্দেশনা” শীর্ষক সেমিনার। এটি যৌথভাবে আয়োজন করে ডট ইনিশিয়েটিভ, স্টুডেন্টস’ কাউন্সিল ফর আইডিয়াল ক্যাম্পাস (এসসিআইসি) এবং টিসিএল গ্লোবাল। দুপুর ৩টা থেকে সন্ধ্যা ৬টা পর্যন্ত অনুষ্ঠিত সেমিনারের পাশাপাশি সকাল ৯টা থেকে সন্ধ্যা ৬টা পর্যন্ত টিএসসি করিডরে টিসিএল গ্লোবালের পক্ষ থেকে শিক্ষার্থীদের জন্য একক পরামর্শ সেবা প্রদান করা হয়।
সেমিনারের উদ্বোধনী বক্তব্য দেন ডট ইনিশিয়েটিভ ও এসসিআইসি’র সভাপতি কে এম ইমরুল হাসান। তাঁর বক্তব্যে তিনি অংশগ্রহণকারীদের স্বাগত জানিয়ে বলেন, বাংলাদেশ বহু দেশের তুলনায় জনমিতিক সুবিধা ভোগ করছে, তবে প্রায় ১০ শতাংশ যুব বেকারত্বের কারণে এ সুবিধা এখনো সঠিকভাবে কাজে লাগানো যাচ্ছে না। তিনি উল্লেখ করেন, এই প্রেক্ষাপটে ডট ইনিশিয়েটিভ কাজ করছে তরুণদের দক্ষতা, দিকনির্দেশনা ও সুযোগের মাধ্যমে ক্ষমতায়নে।
প্রথম অতিথি বক্তা হিসেবে বক্তব্য দেন ঢাকা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের সহকারী অধ্যাপক মাহাদি হাসান। তিনি উচ্চশিক্ষার প্রস্তুতি ও বিশেষভাবে বৃত্তি অর্জনের কৌশল নিয়ে শিক্ষার্থীদের বিস্তারিত দিকনির্দেশনা দেন।
এরপর বক্তব্য দেন ওসামা বিন নূর, ইউথ অপরচুনিটিজ-এর সহ-প্রতিষ্ঠাতা। তিনি স্থানীয় ও বৈশ্বিক পর্যায়ে সুযোগ গ্রহণের বিভিন্ন দিক তুলে ধরেন এবং তরুণদের ক্ষমতায়নে তাঁর নিজস্ব অভিজ্ঞতা শেয়ার করেন।
পরবর্তীতে যুক্তরাষ্ট্র ও যুক্তরাজ্যের বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় প্রতিনিধিরা বাংলাদেশি শিক্ষার্থীদের জন্য পড়াশোনার সুযোগ, বৃত্তির সম্ভাবনা ও ভর্তির পথনির্দেশনা প্রদান করেন।
এছাড়া টিসিএল গ্লোবালের বিশেষজ্ঞরা উচ্চশিক্ষার প্রস্তুতি ও শিক্ষার্থীদের জন্য তাদের প্রদত্ত সেবার বিষয়ে বিশদ আলোচনা করেন।
ডট ইনিশিয়েটিভের সাধারণ সম্পাদক ফেরদৌস আইয়াম (রাইয়ান) তাঁর বক্তৃতায় সংগঠনের বর্তমান কার্যক্রমের পাশাপাশি ভবিষ্যৎ পরিকল্পনা তুলে ধরেন। এর মধ্যে রয়েছে—

সেমিনারের সমাপনী বক্তব্য দেন টিসিএল গ্লোবালের প্রধান নির্বাহী কর্মকর্তা (সিইও)। তিনি এ আয়োজনের প্রশংসা করেন এবং শিক্ষার্থীদের আত্মবিশ্বাসের সঙ্গে উচ্চশিক্ষার প্রস্তুতি নিতে উৎসাহিত করেন।
দিনব্যাপী এ আয়োজন শিক্ষার্থীদের জন্য অনুপ্রেরণা, ব্যবহারিক দিকনির্দেশনা ও ব্যক্তিগত পরামর্শের সমন্বয় ঘটায়। এতে নতুন প্রজন্মকে বৈশ্বিক সুযোগ গ্রহণে সহায়তা করার পাশাপাশি বাংলাদেশের তরুণদের ক্ষমতায়নে ডট ইনিশিয়েটিভের অঙ্গীকার আরও সুদৃঢ়ভাবে প্রতিফলিত হয়।
